Ralph Hatley, father and progenitor of a family of acting sons, started his acting career late in life, 2001, after retiring from the Memphis Police Department.  Ralph appeared on stage first in David Mamet’s Oleanna as the Socratic aloof professor in this emotion charged two person/two act play.
Other stage performances to come would include both lead and lead support roles in; Not about Nightingales (Best Actor in a Drama - Memphis Theater Award), Carousel, Our Town, Hamlet, King Lear, It’s a Wonderful Life, The Guys and is now appearing in January 2007 as Capulate, in Romeo and Juliet.  Film credits as lead support include, Rookie Bookie, Independent B Movie, The Left Hand Drawer, A Cowboy’s Silver Lining, Dead Last, Divine Manipulation of the Threads, and to be released in January 2007, The Hanged Man.
Ralph met the gang at Rusted Sun Films after an actor was not able to fill the role of Charlie Callis in the film, A COWBOY'S SILVER LINING (2004).  Little did they know that Ralph fit the part more than imaginable but that Mr. Hatley was also a like minded jokester, falling easily into the folds of the Rusted Sun Films Family.  Ralph would return to play an aloof con man known to others as, “The Guitar Man” in the film DIVINE MANIPULATION OF THE THREADS (2006).
